Materials & Finishes

Cable Grippers are made of nickel&Chrome-plated brass with a few exceptions. Internal mechanisms are comprised of brass and stainless steel. Grippers are also available in a black zinc finish,satin-chrome. Other finishes are available upon request. Some of the other items are made of anodized aluminum and come in several colors.

Installation

While pressing down the button on the top of the gripper, simply thread the cable through the

gripper, and release the button when at the desired length. Push back the Safety Lock, insert your

frame hanger, then release the Safety Lock. Step back and admire your marvelous Hanging System!

What is A Gripper?

A Cable Gripper is an adjustable fastener that automatically grips and locks to any position on an aircraft cable using an internal, spring-loaded 3-ball gripping mechanism. This allows the Gripper to move freely up the cable but not down unless the mechanism is released.

What components do I need to hang my fixtures?

You will need a ceiling attachment (cable coupler or connector), a cable with a terminal (stop sleeve) and a Cable Gripper, normally placed at the fixture. You may also need ceiling canopies and power cord.
